It all began with a cassette tape of the theme song from my favorite American children’s TV series. My parents claimed I wore it out as I jammed to it in the backseat of their minivan. I think they just couldn’t stand listening to it anymore as we drove back and forth from the city to our country home in Union County, Tennessee. My love for music didn’t stop there, but continued to grow into a very eclectic taste and style. In spite of my diverse love for music, my soul couldn’t help but fall in love the most with the Appalachian and western stories and sounds country music had to offer me as I grew up in East Tennessee. Now when I hear many of those familiar dancing melodies of banjos, dobros, fiddles and more, I find myself immersed in my childhood memories, recalling those shared musical moments I had with so many others in my younger years.
In high school I tried my hand at solo performances after many years of choir participation, musical education, and theatrical performances with several different organizations. From there I was given the opportunity to advance my career and develop an even stronger skill set of song-writing and performing. Eventually found myself in a career as a professional singer-songwriter.
In 2021 I released my very first original single “In God’s Time”. I haven’t looked back since the day that song was birthed. Subsequently I released a Christmas song “That Was The Night”. After that I released “Godly Woman”. It has a message that not only speaks to me, but also gives me the opportunity to share with many other women I encounter who are in need of some encouragement to carry on in whatever situation or season life in which they are traveling. The Godly Woman single went on to be a #1 Hit Song and also became 2022 Christian Country Song Of The Year and continues to minster to women today.
